Virtual Anti-Racist Book Club (Young Professionals Statewide)

May 18, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Are you someone who’s wondering what the big deal is? Why are all these folks talking about Antiracism? We live in a post race society? Don’t we?
Or… are you someone that marched last year with the BLM movement? Someone on a journey to recognize the need for deprogramming of our psychology? The race focus and need to do better and wondering, HOW? How can I understand and do and be better?
Or… Are you someone in between? Well, we are creating a bi-weekly book club to read and discuss Stamped, originally written by Ibram X. Kendi, and then Remixed for everyone’s reading ease and understanding. We will have it broken down into section and discussed. We are coming to the table with a genuine curiosity and desire to do and be better. So, come with your book, and your honesty, and your personal perspectives.

If you can’t make it to every meeting, that’s ok. It’s ideal if you do, but we understand everyone has lives. If you haven’t fully finished the reading, still come, the conversation will be valuable no matter what. We want you there!

This is open to folks statewide driven by the Young Professionals groups across the state.

Event is Free but Pre-Registration is required!
